The Williamsport Community Band is a non-profit ensemble in Williamsport, MD. With over 65 members, musicians are also teachers, veterans, nurses, students, and more. Led by John Slick and Micah Socks, the band performs free concerts year-round for the Town of Williamsport in order to promote music and music education within the community.
The Community Band also has a Jazz Band led by Bryan Detrow bringing modern and classic big band music to the community throughout the year.

Our spring season of music is about to kick off. Rehearsals begin on Sunday, February 15th at Zion Lutheran Church. Arrive for an on time warm up beginning at 2:00 pm. Please visit our members page to see the calendar, find other useful information, and update your contact information.
The Williamsport Community Band is always accepting musicians looking to join our organization. Are you a student looking to find opportunities to push your musical growth? Are you a current player looking for a band to be part of? Or are you a former player with a longing to get back into music. The Williamsport Community Band performed their annual Holiday Concert Sunday, December 14th, at 3:00PM at the Williamsport Fire Hall banquet center. See our online program.
The Jazz Band performed a unique, outdoor concert under the stars for a community event in Sabillasville, MD. It was a great time and awesome experience. The weather was great, the crowd was wonderful, and even the crickets gave a cool ambience to the nighttime air. Watch part of this set on YouTube!
